Grainger appoints Derek Gorman, former CEO of Get Living London,

as MANAGING DIRECTOR of its market rented residential portfolio

Grainger plc, the UK's largest listed residential landlord and manager, announces that it has hired Derek Gorman as Managing Director of Market Rented Assets.  Mr Gorman will join the Company on 12 January 2015. 

This is a significant appointment for the Company which demonstrates the importance of its market rent platform to the longer term corporate strategy.

Mr Gorman was most recently the Chief Executive of Get Living London, the company involved in the management of East Village in Stratford.  East Village is one of the largest private rented developments in the UK and was named the "Private Rented Sector Project of the Year" at this year's MIPIM UK awards. Derek Gorman has outstanding expertise and knowledge of the private rented sector including creating and managing operational businesses and the procurement of real estate assets.

Derek Gorman will have a UK wide remit to lead the delivery and development of Grainger's market rented strategy, and lead the integration of the model across all business teams.
