We set out below an announcement relating to the appointment of a new non-executive director.
Grainger Strengthens Board With The Appointment Of Baroness Ford Of Cunninghame As Non-Executive Director
Grainger plc ('Grainger'), the UK's largest quoted residential property owner and trader today announces that it has strengthened its Board with the appointment of a new independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
Baroness Margaret Ford, who has a depth of expertise in both the property industry and the regeneration sector, will further strengthen the breadth of experience of the non-executives on Grainger's Board.
She is currently a Managing Director in the Royal Bank of Canada's Capital Markets Group, where she has a focus on supporting investment in real estate and regeneration projects in the UK and Europe. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Serco Group plc, which is one of the worlds largest public service companies. She is Serco's Senior Independent Director and serves on their Audit and Remuneration Committees.
Prior to this she was Chairman, from 2002, of English Partnerships, the Government's Regeneration Agency. Her early career was spent in a variety of housing and regeneration roles across the public and private sector.

Baroness Margaret Ford is considered independent on appointment under the provision's of the combined code. She will become a member of the Audit Committee with immediate effect.
