The Grainger Trust Employee Trustee Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of
Grainger Trust plc, has today transferred 5,666 25p ordinary shares in 
Grainger Trust plc to a beneficiary under Grainger Trust plc's long term
incentive plan.

This transfer reduces the holding of the Grainger Trust Employee Trustee Limited
in the shares of Grainger Trust plc to 232,876 shares.
