Purchase of Grainger Trust plc shares

The Grainger Trust Employee Trustee Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of 
Grainger Trust plc, has today acquired 135,000 Grainger Trust plc 25p ordinary 
shares at a price of £8.20 per share.

These shares are being held by the Grainger Trust Employee Trustee Limited for 
the purposes of employee share schemes and brings its total holding to 324,889 
shares.
