Purchase of Grainger Trust plc shares

The Grainger Trust Employee Trustee Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of 
Grainger Trust plc, has today acquired 20,000 Grainger Trust plc 25p ordinary 
shares at a price of £15.95 per share.

These shares are being held by The Grainger Trust Employee Trustee Limited for 
the purpose of employee share schemes and brings its total holding to 238,542 
shares.
