STATEMENT BY GRAINGER PLC

("Grainger" or the "Company")

The Board of Grainger has noted the statement made by Regis Group plc this morning and is pleased that the uncertainty of being in an offer period has been lifted.  

An update on the Company's trading will be provided in its Interim Management Statement for the four months to 31 July 2008 which will be announced on 12 August 2008.
