Grainger Trust plc acquired, on 26 June 2006, 100,000 Grainger Trust plc 5p
ordinary shares at a price of £5.00 per share.

These shares are being held by The Grainger Trust Employee Trustee Limited for
the purpose of employee share schemes and brings its total holding to 590,567
shares.
