Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Gas Turbine Efficiency plc ("GTE" or the "Company"), a leading provider of proprietary cleantech systems for enhancing the performance of aviation and industrial gas turbines, announces that, with immediate effect, Mr Harry W. Zike has joined the board as Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Zike, aged 55, is an experienced chief financial officer who has spent his career in a variety of senior international roles within the energy and technology sector.  Most recently, Mr. Zike was Chief Financial Officer of Energy Conversion Devices (ECD), a publicly traded NASDAQ alternative energy company.  Prior to that, Mr Zike spent 18 years with Siemens in Europe and the USA where he held a number of executive financial positions including Chief Financial Officer in Siemens energy and automotive divisions in the USA. Prior to that, Mr Zike qualified as a Certified Public Accountant when he was with Price Waterhouse.

Mr. Zike is currently a director of Babcock Power Inc. and, in the past five years, has been a director of various wholly and non-wholly owned subsidiaries of Energy Conversion Devices (Ovonic Cognitive Computer, Inc., Solar integrated Technologies, Inc., United Solar Systems de Mexico, S.A. de C.V., Waterview Holdings, Inc., Ovonyx, Inc. and Ovonic Battery Company), and various subsidiaries of Siemens (Siemens VDO Automotive Corporation,  Siemens Power Corporation, Inc., Siemens Shared Services LLC and Siemens Westinghouse Power Corporation) in addition to serving on the Boards of the Detroit and Central Florida Chapters of Financial Executives International (not for profit professional associations).

Mr Zike does not hold shares in the Company. There is no other information required to be disclosed under Schedule Two, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
