Great Portland Estates appoints Finance Director
Great Portland Estates plc, announces the appointment of Nick Sanderson as Finance Director with effect from 25 July 2011. He is currently head of Real Estate Corporate Finance Advisory at Deloitte having previously had ten years of real estate investment banking experience most recently as a managing director at Nomura. Nick qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen in 1998.
Commenting on the appointment, Martin Scicluna, Chairman, said:
"We are delighted to welcome Nick to the board as Finance Director. He brings with him extensive real estate advisory and capital markets experience which will both complement the existing management team and help support the Group's ambitious growth plans."

Nick Sanderson, 38, graduated from the University of Nottingham in 1994. In 1995, he joined Arthur Andersen where he qualified as a chartered accountant. In 2000, he moved to UBS Investment where he was a director in the real estate corporate finance division (in London and Honk Kong). After 5 years he joined Lehman Brothers to develop its real estate investment banking activities in Europe and the Middle East, and remained in this role with Nomura following its acquisition of Lehman Brothers European operations in 2008. He has been involved in a wide range of real estate capital raisings (equity and debt; public and private markets) and advisory/M&A transactions in UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia. After ten years in investment banking, Nick joined Deloitte in 2010 as a partner and head of Real Estate Corporate Finance Advisory. Great Portland Estates is audited by Deloitte, however, Nick Sanderson had no involvement in the Great Portland Estates account during his time at the firm.
