                                          DIRECTOR'S RESIGNATION

Great  Western Mining Corporation plc wishes to announce that Mr Liam McGrattan resigned from the Board  of
Directors of the Company on 27 May 2011 with immediate effect, and in order that he may concentrate on  his
forthcoming appointment to a Paris based hedge fund.

Liam  was  a founder director of Great Western Mining Corporation plc and has specialised in the  small-cap
market for the past number of years.

Commenting  on  Liam's  resignation, Chairman Emmett O'Connell said "The  Board  of  Great  Western  Mining
Corporation plc wishes to acknowledge the immense contribution of Liam to the success of the Company and to
wish him well in the future, especially in his latest venture".
