                                         TRADING STATEMENT

Great  Western  Mining  Corp. plc ("GWM" or the "Company"), the Dublin-based  mineral  exploration
company,  announces  a  trading statement in relation to the quarter  ended  31  March  2010  (the
"Quarter").

During the Quarter GWM completed a comprehensive surface (trenching, pits, adits and grab samples)
testing  over  land areas claim staked in November 2009.  The announcement made on 26  March  2010
made  reference  to a total of some hundred test results, which are available for  review  on  the
Company's website.

An  update to the Competent Person's Report made by N.T. Cohan & Associates, Inc., Geological  and
Engineering Consultants, was completed during the Quarter.  The update covers all of the 34 square
kilometers  of area under claim, including the one hundred test results mentioned above.   Further
announcements regarding the update will be made as and when appropriate.

The  recent costs associated with increasing the Company's area under licence in Nevada, sampling,
laboratory  testing  and updating the Competent Persons Report, have been met,  according  to  the
programme,  with  funds raised in October 2009. Further funding is now in  the  process  of  being
raised, this will enable the recommendations of the Competent Persons Report to be initiated. Over
this summer, the Company will implement a programme of Geophysical survey, core hole drilling  and
geological evaluation.

This  promises to be one of the most exciting periods in your company's history and your Directors
are looking forward, with anticipation, to announcing these results to the shareholders
