APPOINTMENT AT GREENCORE GROUP PLC ("GREENCORE")

The board of directors of Greencore has announced today that Imelda Hurley, the company's Managing Director of Finance has been named Chief Financial Officer. The appointment will become effective from 31^st December, 2010 following the departure of Geoff Doherty who is leaving the company to become Chief Financial Officer of Kingspan Group plc.

Ms. Hurley joined Greencore Group plc in April 2001.

Patrick Coveney, Chief Executive of Greencore Group plc, commented: "I am absolutely delighted to be appointing Imelda to this role at a critical and interesting time for Greencore. She is an experienced finance leader, knows every part of our business, and will bring a drive, energy and expertise to our finance function."
