BOARD RESIGNATION AT GREENCORE GROUP PLC ("GREENCORE")

The Board of directors of Greencore, the leading food group, has announced today (Thursday 29^th July, 2010), that Geoff Doherty, chief financial officer of the Group, has advised the Board of his intention to resign from his position with effect from 31 December, 2010.  The Board has accepted his decision.  Mr. Doherty will be moving into a similar role at another publicly quoted group.

Ned Sullivan, chairman of Greencore, said, "Since joining Greencore Group plc in 2001 Geoff has made an immense contribution to the development of the company and while we are sorry to see him leave, we wish him every success in his future career."
