On 5th April 2002 Greggs plc ("the Company") was notified that on 5th April
2002, Malcolm Simpson, a director of the Company sold 1,000 ordinary shares of
20p each in the Company (0.008% of the issued share capital) at £36.25 per
share.
The Company was also notified that on 5th April 2002, Anne Simpson, spouse of
Malcolm Simpson, sold 400 ordinary shares of 20p each in the Company (0.003% of
the issued share capital) at £36.25 per share.
The total beneficial and non-beneficial holdings of Malcolm Simpson (excluding
