On 16 June 2005 Greggs plc ("the Company") was notified that on 16 June 2005,
the trustees of the Greggs Employee Benefit Trust, including Ian Gregg, Sir
Michael Darrington and Malcolm Simpson (directors of the Company) sold 1,690
ordinary shares of 20p each in the Company (0.014% of the issued shares) at
£28.21 per share to employees on the exercise of options granted pursuant to the
Company's Savings Related Share Option Scheme.
After the disposal, the trustees of the Employment Benefit Trust hold 58,382
shares (0.48% of the issued shares).
The total beneficial and non-beneficial holdings of each relevant director
(excluding interests in share options) following this notification are as
follows:
