Susan Johnson Appointed as Non-Executive Director

Greggs plc is pleased to announce the appointment today of Susan Johnson as an
additional non-executive director of the company.  Susan (age 42) obtained a
MBA at Durham University Business School and then pursued a career in sales
and marketing.  In 1996 Susan became Chief Executive of Northern Business
Forum, which position she left to become an Executive Director of Yorkshire
Forward earlier this year.  There are no further details which are required to
be disclosed by Listing Rule 16.4 (b).
