Greggs plc announces that on 20 June 2006 it purchased 15,995 ordinary shares of
20p each in the Company for cancellation at the highest price of £39.20 per
share and at the lowest price of £39.00 per share.



Following this cancellation of shares, the Company's total issued share capital
will be 11,418,990.
