In  conformity with the Disclosure  and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, Hazel Renewable
Energy VCT 1 plc announces the following:

As at 31 March 2011, the Company's capital consisted of:
9,382,037 Ordinary Shares of 0.1 pence each; and
11,882,035 A Shares of 0.1 pence each (which are non-voting).

The Company does not hold any shares in treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Hazel Renewable Energy VCT 1 plc
is 9,382,037.

The above takes account of any shares that have been recently bought back for
cancellation, even if such transactions have not yet settled.

The  above  figure  may  be  used  by  shareholders  as  the denominator for the
calculations  by which they will determine if  they are required to notify their
interest  in, or a change to their interest in, Hazel Renewable Energy VCT 1 plc
under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
