Gresham Computing PLC
4 April 2000
Gresham Computing PLC ('the Company') announces that
three non-executive directors of the Company, Roger
Graham, Chairman, Peter Bickerton and Clifford Jakes,
have resigned with immediate effect.
Since becoming Chief Executive, Bill Simpson has been
responsible for undertaking a strategic review of the
Company's competitive position. The results of this
review have now been presented to the Board of Directors.
An important component of that strategy was unanimous
support for the Chief Executive in its implementation.
Two major shareholders in the Company, Sid Green and
Steve Purchase, who are also directors have declined to
support the Chief Executive and the proposed strategy.
Accordingly, the non-executive directors determined it
appropriate to resign from the Board.
The Company also announces that its financial advisers
Close Brothers Corporate Finance Limited and its
stockbroker SG Securities (London) Ltd have today
resigned. The appointment of new advisers will be
announced in due course.
