                          Share Price Movement Comment

The Board of Gresham notes today's movement in the Group's share price and
significant volume of shares traded.

There has been recent speculation that Gresham is a potential takeover target.
The Board categorically states that Gresham is not involved in discussions with
any party regarding the takeover of the Group.

The Board of Gresham announces that it intends to release its results for the
six months ended 30 June 2002 in mid-September, when it will provide a full
trading update.
