I give below details of changes in interests in the Ordinary Shares of
GlaxoSmithKline plc in respect of the under-mentioned persons:

Mr R Bondy acquired a beneficial interest in 1 Ordinary Share purchased under a
Personal Equity Plan on 7 April 2006 at £14.75.

Mr J Clarke acquired a beneficial interest in 1 Ordinary Share purchased under a
Personal Equity Plan on 7 April 2006 at £14.75.

The Company and the above named individuals were advised of these transactions
on 10 April 2006.

This notification relates to a transaction notified in accordance with
Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a).
