Dr R G Greig                  Exercise of options on 5 December 2007 over 12,500 ADSs granted on 15
                              December 2003 under the GlaxoSmithKline Share Option Plan at a price of
                              $44.57 per ADS.


                              The sale of 12,500 ADSs on 5 December 2007 at a price of $52.70 per ADS.




The Company was advised of this transaction on 5 December 2007.
