Dr R G Greig    Following the vesting of 2,351.92 Ordinary Share ADRs under the
                GlaxoSmithKline Deferred Investment Award on 1 February 2008, 
                Dr R G Greig is due to receive a payment equivalent to $46.74 
                per ADR on 22 February 2008.



                The Company was advised of this transaction on 7 February 2008.



This notification is in accordance with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.4R
