I give below details of changes in interests in the Ordinary shares of GlaxoSmithKline plc in respect of the under-mentioned Directors:-

Mr A P Witty	Purchase of 8,718 Ordinary shares at a price of £10.57 per share and 676 Ordinary shares at a price of £10.56 per share.
Mr S M Bicknell	Purchase of 675 Ordinary shares at a price of £10.58 per share.

The Company was advised of these transactions on 15 May 2009.

This notification relates to a transaction notified in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a).
