(ADSs) of GlaxoSmithKline plc in respect of the under-mentioned Person
Discharging Managerial Responsibility:-

Mr D Phelan    Sale of 19,721 ADSs from within the US Retirement Savings Plan on
               16 February 2007 at a price of $57.78 per ADS.

               The Company was advised of this transaction on 20 February 2007.

This notification relates to a transaction notified in accordance with
Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a).
