Discharging Managerial Responsibility:-




Dr R G Greig                  Exercise of options on 23 February 2007 over 45,000 ADSs granted on 15
                              December 2003 under the GlaxoSmithKline Share Option Plan at a price of
                              $44.57 per ADS.



                              The sale of 45,000 ADSs on 23 February 2007 at a price of $56.81 per ADS.





The Company was advised of these transactions on 26 February 2007.
