(ADSs) of GlaxoSmithKline plc in respect of the under-mentioned Person
Discharging Managerial Responsibility:-


Mr J Ziegler  Exercise of options on 28 October 2005 over 21,596 ADSs granted on 
              21 November 1996 under the SmithKline Beecham US 1991 Share Option 
              Plan at a price of $28.159 per ADS.

              Sale of 21,596 ADSs on 28 October 2005 at a price of $52.45 per 
              ADS.

The Company was advised of these transactions on 28 October 2005.

This notification relates to a transaction notified in accordance with
Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a).
