GlaxoSmithKline plc in respect of the under-mentioned director:-


Dr L      The Administrators of the SmithKline Beecham Scientific Advisory Board
Shapiro   Share Allocation Plan notified GlaxoSmithKline plc on 3 August 2001
          that Dr Shapiro had been provisionally allocated 266 American
          Depository Shares (ADS) at an average price of $57.72 on 1 August 2001
          as per the share election arrangements for the Scientific Advsiory
          Board. Dr Shapiro was also notified of this change on 3 August 2001.
