Dr J P  The Administrators of the GlaxoSmithKline US Retirement Savings Plan
Garnier notified GlaxoSmithKline plc on 28 December 2001 that Dr Garnier had
        increased his interest by 1 Ordinary Share ADR at a price of $49.4000
        per share on the 27 December 2001. Dr Garnier was also notified of this
        change on 28 December 2001.
