Guild Studios partners with Sky Broadband to launch marketing campaign

Guild Esports, (LSE: GILD), a gaming-focused media business, is pleased to announce the launch of a new marketing campaign with the Company's Official Premier Partner, Sky Broadband.

Guild and Sky Broadband have built 'Sky City' a custom-built map in the video game Fortnite, which will launch alongside an influencer-led campaign and the 'Speed Showdown', a series of live-stream events which allow players to battle alongside their favourite creators, engage in challenges and win real-world prizes from Sky Broadband. Highlights of the tournament will be posted on Guild Esports, Sky UK and influencer channels on a weekly basis.

This map was developed by Guild Esports through its creative and production division, Guild Studios, with support from gaming studio UMI Games. Guild Studios aims to leverage this launch to reinforce its position as a leading creator of innovative gaming environments. The partnership with Sky Broadband is designed to enhance credibility among fans, investors, and partners by showcasing Guild Studios' ability to create engaging and seamless gaming experiences.

Guild has enlisted Ruby "RubyPlays" Allenby, a Guild professional Fortnite player and streamer, to be the face of the campaign for the Company. Sky Broadband has enlisted gaming creators, Sunpi, Tubbo, Archie and LittleBunny, to support the launch and promote the first livestream. Between them, the creators have more than 17 million subscribers across Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube.

Jasmine Skee, Guild Esports' CEO: "We are thrilled to partner with Sky Broadband on the Sky City launch in Fortnite. With 85% of Fortnite players aged 18-35, this collaboration lets us engage with a key demographic in a new and exciting way. Young people spend almost double their time gaming over any other social channel. This is the new frontier of digital marketing, with active and engaged users having authentic brand experiences. We can't wait to see players enjoy the many unique elements we've weaved into the map and to be part of a project that connects and entertains."

Sunny Bhurji, Sky Connectivity's Marketing Director added: "I'm super excited about the launch of Sky City and the Speed Showdown activation as it once again demonstrates how Sky Broadband is essential to its gaming customers. It's a first-of-its-kind tournament that really brings streamers and their audiences together and is all powered by Sky Broadband. I can't wait to see the players in our Sky City Map, created in Fortnite."
