Qatar Investment Fund plc (the "Company") announces that on 22 December 2016 it purchased 9,340 of its ordinary shares at a price per share of USD 1.0900.

Following the above purchase and the shares cancelled following the completion of the recent tender, the Company holds 1,595,689 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 102,906,644 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).

The above figure of 102,906,644 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
