QATAR INVESTMENT FUND PLC

TREASURY SHARES - CANCELLATION

Qatar Investment Fund plc (the "Company") announces that the 267,784 shares purchased on 6 July 2012, the 130,000 shares purchased on 9 July 2012, the 163,274 shares purchased on 10 July 2012 and the 269,712 shares purchased on 11 July 2012 have been cancelled in accordance with the Company's treasury share policy published on 15 July 2010. Following the cancellation, the Company now holds 5,902,364 shares in treasury.

The Company's issued share capital comprises 175,895,694 ordinary shares with voting rights with a further 5,902,364 shares held in treasury.

In accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, the Company's total number of shares with voting rights therefore remains unchanged at 175,895,694.
