New Management Appointments
Gulf Keystone, the London AIM-quoted (symbol: GKP) independent oil & gas
exploration & production company operating in the Republic of Algeria, today
announces the resignation of Dr. Caroline Brown, the Chief Financial Officer
(CFO) of the Company with effect from 6th April 2006.
Gulf Keystone is pleased to announce that Dr. Jon Cooper will be appointed as
Finance Director of Gulf Keystone Petroleum Limited from 6th April 2006. Prior
to joining Gulf Keystone, Jon spent 9 years at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein,
where he worked as a Director in the Oil & Gas Corporate Finance Team most
recently covering Russia and Central & Eastern Europe. Jon qualified as a
Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1996 and has a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering
and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Leeds.
Gulf Keystone is also pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. Iain Patrick
as Director of Commercial & Legal Affairs of Gulf Keystone Petroleum (UK)
Limited. Iain has 25 years experience in the international oil and gas
industry. After graduating with an Ll.M in 1980, Iain worked as an oil industry
lawyer before joining Monument Oil and Gas plc in 1988 where he held the
position of Commercial Director until the sale of the company in 1999. Iain
then co-founded PWX Limited, a consultancy providing business development
support to a number of oil and gas companies.
Mr Roger Parsons, Chairman of the Company commented:
"We would like to thank Caroline Brown for her contribution to the Company in
its early life as a public listed company and wish her well in the future."
Todd Kozel, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Keystone said:

Save for the declarations below, there are no updated disclosures to be made in
respect of the appointment of Dr. Cooper under rule 17 and under Schedule 2
paragraph (g) of the AIM rules.
