                         Notice of Preliminary Earnings

Gulfsands  Petroleum  (AIM:  GPX)the  oil  and  gas  production, exploration and
development  company  with  activities  in  Syria,  Iraq,  and  the U.S.A., will
announce its preliminary earnings for the year ended 31 December 2009 on Tuesday
30 March 2010, rather than the previously announced date of 29 March.

An  analyst  briefing  will  be  held  at  08.30am at  the  offices  of Buchanan
