London, 5^th October, 2011:  Gulfsands Petroleum plc ("Gulfsands", the "Group" or the "Company" - AIM: GPX), the oil and gas production, exploration and development company with activities in Syria, Iraq, Tunisia, Italy and the U.S.A., announces that the Company has been advised on 5^th October, 2011 that on 27^th September, 2011 Mr George Robinson ceased to be a substantial shareholder in the Company.
