GUS plc
ARG renamed Home Retail Group
GUS plc is pleased to announce that Argos Retail Group has changed its name to
Home Retail Group. The change has been made to reflect the fact that the company
is the leading home and general merchandise retailer in the UK, and customers
shopping at Argos and Homebase can buy everything they need for the home and
garden. Argos and Homebase will continue to trade under their existing brands.
Terry Duddy, Chief Executive Officer of Home Retail Group said:
'We are very excited about starting life as a separate public company under the
great new name of Home Retail Group. This represents an opportunity to provide a
strong and clear identity which better reflects the unparalleled breadth of home
and general merchandise products that both Argos and Homebase sell.'
