Chairmanship
Today Lloyds TSB Group announced that Sir Victor Blank, Chairman of GUS, will
join its board as Deputy Chairman on 1 March 2006 and take on the role of
Chairman at its AGM in May.
GUS is pleased to confirm that Sir Victor will remain as Chairman of GUS until
the proposed separation of Argos Retail Group and Experian, announced last year,
takes place. He has also indicated that he will not undertake any continuing
role in these businesses thereafter. The GUS Board acknowledges Sir Victor's
responsibilities as Chairman of two FTSE 100 companies and believes that he will
be able to devote sufficient time to his role at GUS.
