On 21 January 2004, the Company announced that Andy Hornby had joined its Board 
as a non-executive director with immediate effect.

Pursuant to paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules, the Company now advises that:

a) Mr Hornby is currently a director of HBOS plc, Halifax plc and Sainsbury's 
Bank plc. He was also a director of Halifax Group plc until 30 September 2002.

b) There are no details to be disclosed pursuant to the requirements of 
paragraphs 6.F.2(b) to 6.F.2(g) of the Listing Rules in respect of Mr Hornby.

At the date of his appointment, Mr Hornby held a beneficial interest in 2,920 
Ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company.
