GUS plc has today received notification that Mr Oliver Stocken (a non-executive
director of the Company) purchased 5,000 Ordinary shares of 25p each in the
Company on 22 November 2002 at a price of £6.20 per share. Following this
purchase, Mr Stocken holds 21,996 Ordinary shares of 25p in the Company.
