As previously indicated, the preliminary announcement of annual results of GUS 
plc for the year ended 31 March 2003 will be made on 28 May 2003. That 
announcement will also include details of the rate of the final dividend for the 
year ended 31 March 2003 which, once approved at the Annual General Meeting, 
will be paid on 8 August 2003 to those persons on the Register of Members at the 
close of business on 11 July 2003. The ex-dividend date will be 9 July 2003
