NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS AND PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In common with all eligible employees, executive directors and PDMR's were invited on 14 July 2008 to participate in Halfords Group plc 2008 Sharesave Scheme and were given the option to buy ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company (Shares) at a price 192.67p in 3 years time. The following options were granted on 7 August 2008:

Nick Wharton, a director of the Company, was granted an option over 4,878 Shares.

Paul McClenaghan, a director of the Company, was granted an option over 4,878 Shares. 

Andy Torrance, a PDMR, was granted an option over 4,878 shares. 

Steve Whyman, a PDMR, was granted an option over 4,878 shares.
