Director Change
Halfords announces that Nick Wharton, Halfords Group Finance Director, will be leaving the company on Tuesday 30th November 2010 to become Chief Executive Designate of Dunelm Group plc. He will present the Interim Results and oversee the renewal of the Group's bank facilities prior to his departure.
The Board has initiated a search for a successor and will update shareholders when appropriate.
David Wild, Chief Executive Officer, commented:
"Nick has been a fantastic colleague and on behalf of the board I'd like to thank him for his major contribution to our progress. Over the last 8 years he has played a central role in Halfords' transition from a subsidiary of Boots, through private equity ownership to become a growing and successful plc. We congratulate him on his appointment and wish him well in his new role."
