Notification of major interests in shares
Halfords Group plc ('the Company') received a notification on 1 June 2007 that,
following an acquisition of voting rights on 29 May 2007 resulting in a change
of threshold, Prudential plc and certain of its subsidiary companies (as shown
in the schedule below) had a notifiable interest on 29 May 2007 in 13,641,553
ordinary shares of the Company, representing 6.22% of the Company's current
issued share capital.
