HALFORDS GROUP PLC: PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES - AMENDMENT
Halfords announced on 21 June 2011 that it had purchased 100,000 shares, through Investec Bank PLC, for 'cancellation' (RNS no. 8641I).
The shares purchased will in fact be transferred into treasury to meet options under the Company's share option schemes between 2011 and 2014.

HALFORDS GROUP PLC: PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES
Halfords Group PLC announces that on 21 June 2011 it purchased, through Investec Bank PLC, 100,000 of its ordinary shares for transfer into treasury at a price of 399.4 pence per share. The highest price paid was 400 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 398.1 pence per share.
The shares held in treasury will be used to meet options under the Company's share options schemes between 2011 and 2014. Following the above purchase, the Company now holds 100,000 shares in treasury and has bought back 6,816,296 shares for cancellation, since 7 April 2011 when the buy back programme commenced.
