BOARD CHANGES

Halma, the leading safety, health and environmental technology group, announces the appointment of Jennifer Ward as a Director of the Company, effective 27 September 2016.  Jennifer was appointed as Halma's first Group Talent Director and member of the Executive Board in March 2014.  She has global responsibility for the management of talent development across Halma with a strong focus on Halma's senior management and the boards of its subsidiary businesses. Prior to joining Halma, Jennifer spent over 15 years leading Talent and Organisational Development for divisions of PayPal (an eBay company), Bank of America and Honeywell.  She has a Master's degree from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University. Paul Walker, Chairman, commented: "I welcome Jennifer to the Board knowing that she has contributed significantly to discussions on talent and our growth strategy since joining Halma.  Jennifer's insight into how our businesses can achieve their strategic aspirations together with the scope of her influence across all sectors of the Group will make her a very valuable addition to the Halma Board."

Jennifer Ward has unvested share awards over 87,042 ordinary shares in Halma plc as follows: Performance share award 25,337 shares vesting on 12 August 2017 Deferred share award 4,283 shares vesting on 26 July 2018 Performance share award 31,757 shares vesting on 31 July 2018 Performance share award 25,665 shares vesting on 26 July 2019 These awards are subject to performance conditions. In addition, Jennifer Ward has 1,041 ordinary shares in Halma plc held within the Share Incentive Plan trust.
