                                AND RECOMMEND DIVIDEND


The Directors of Halma p.l.c. intend to hold a Board Meeting on 21 June 2005 at
which the announcement of the profit for the 52 weeks ended 2 April 2005 will be
approved.

The final dividend for the 52 weeks ended 2 April 2005 will also be recommended
at that meeting.
