                 DATE OF BOARD MEETING TO ANNOUNCE RESULTS
                           AND RECOMMEND DIVIDEND


The Directors of Halma p.l.c. intend to hold a Board Meeting on 22 June 2004 at
which the announcement of the profit for the 53 weeks ended 3 April 2004 will be
approved.

The final dividend for the 53 weeks ended 3 April 2004 will also be recommended 
at that meeting.
