Halma PLC
25 October 2007
Halma p.l.c.
POST-CLOSE TRADING UPDATE
Halma's trading performance for the first six months of the current financial
year is expected to be in line with the Board's expectations as the Group
continues to achieve organic revenue and profit growth. The Board remains
positive about prospects for the current financial year and the medium term.
Growth was achieved in all three sectors and in all major geographic regions.
Industrial Safety continued to perform very well and benefited from good organic
growth. Infrastructure Sensors and Health & Analysis both made progress and the
benefits arising from the strategic actions and additional investment in the
first half are expected to start to emerge during the second half as planned.
In October 2007, Halma acquired Sonar Research and Development ('SRD') based in
Beverley, UK for £2.4m (maximum of £2.6m). SRD's technology complements the
activities of our existing subsea safety monitoring business, and they will
operate as part of the Tritech business.
Halma continues to search for more acquisitions in all major regions and has
allocated further dedicated resources to support these efforts.
Halma's Results for the six months to 29 September 2007 will be released on 29
November 2007.
