Trading Statement

Halma PLC 26 April 2007 Halma p.l.c. TRADING UPDATE The Board of Halma, the leading safety, health and sensor technology business, expects full year pre-tax profits* to be in line with current market expectations. The strategic changes completed over the past two years and higher investment in sales resources, innovation and people development are underpinning our ability to sustain organic growth. Good cash flow has ensured that the Group ended the year with modest gearing after funding organic and acquisitive growth activities. The pattern of sectoral trading performance reported at the Interim stage has continued with all three business sectors achieving good organic growth after absorbing the expected adverse impact of currency movement in the second half. Notably, Infrastructure Sensors, the Group's largest sector, maintained the strong organic revenue and profit growth momentum that was re-established this year, following last year's increased investment. Organic growth remains Halma's top priority. Our strategy to make value adding acquisitions in closely targeted sectors is also progressing well. Tritech, the sub-sea safety monitoring business acquired in November 2006, has traded well and is proving to be a strong addition to our Industrial Safety sector. Labsphere, acquired in February 2007, is also meeting expectations and adding further strength to our fast growing Photonics business within the Health and Analysis sector. Halma's preliminary results for the year to 31 March 2007 will be released on 19 June 2007. (* - before amortisation of acquired intangibles) For further information, please contact: Halma p.l.c.
