Following the exercise of nil cost options granted on 26 September 2003 under
the Hammerson 2000 Deferred Share Plan, a director of Hammerson plc, Mr S R
Melliss, acquired 28,483 ordinary shares of 25p each in Hammerson plc on 31
October 2006. Of the 28,483 shares acquired, 20,983 shares were sold at
£13.24534 on the same day.



As a result of these transactions, Mr S R Melliss now holds 38,876 ordinary
shares of 25p each in Hammerson plc.
